Mission - Produce Compressed air systems, Twin Tower Dryers, other dryer technologies and Nitrogen packages in a practical and economic form to suit customer requirements and to meet a given deadline by preparing layouts, designs, and specifications for new, proposed, and existing products/ projects.

Roles and Responsibilites -

  • Evaluate the contract description upon receipt of an order/project together with the design department, Purchasing Team, Document Controller and Proposal Engineer to correctly estimate the feasibility of the contract.
  • Conduct technical, commercial and planning meetings with (end) customers and contractors (Kickoff Meeting, pre-inspection meeting, Factory Acceptance Test, ...)
  • Conduct technical alignment with the design teams
  • Correctly process of the order in the differentsystems
  • Follow-up (and logging of any changes) of the contract in terms of delivery, documentation, scope and finances.
  • At all times have an overview of the current state of handled projects available
  • Monitor and ensureall documents (drawings, datasheets, manuals, certificates, ... ) are delivered correctly on time to Customer Centers or end-customer.
  • validate all documents prior to submitting to the (end) customer.
  • create SDI (Supplier Document Index), ITP (Inspection Test Plan), Production planning,Monthly Progress Reports, datasheetsand procedures.
  • take responsibility for the safety and quality of the product, and filling out Risk Analysis.
  • follow up of actual spent budget (after delivery) versus the predetermined budget.
  • support and consult regularly with Customer Centers to always provide the necessary technical information and determine the most efficient approach for a project.
  • provide training to others. (Contract Engineers, Proposal Engineers, Sales Company, ... )
  • organize and manage Witness Tests, visits of Customer Centers, inspectors and end-customers
  • coordinate the project from start until shipment.
  • follow up on shipping, installation and commissioning if contractual required.
  • coordinating with other EngineeredSolutions entities to align shared projects.
  • validating the work of colleagues.
  • delegate and coordinate appropriate tasks with GECIA
  • Prepare and support materials for products designed and supported locally by the product company
  • Authoring technical documentation to fulfill all project requirements.
  • Provide continuing technical support for the assembly/production and quality processes
  • Interface with Shop personnel to ensure product compliance with design requirements
  • Also provide technical support for Sales, Marketing and Service operations relevant to the products designed

In conjunction with OSHA law and/or requirements, apply the SafeStart safety training process when performing all work in order to reinforce practical safety training techniques, maintain awareness and prevent injury.

Follow the Atlas Copco "Safety First" policy with the vision of zero work related accidents. Take all necessary actions to employ sustainable processes to safeguard the company's targets for Quality/Environment /Safety, Health and Energy/Resource Efficiency.

Perform other duties as assigned

Some day and occasional overnight travel may be required as the immediate supervisor is not available

Qualifications -

Experience - 5 years of experience relevant experience, experience in project management is an asset

Knowledge - Good standing knowledge of the compressed air industry and mechanical design principles.

Education -Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in engineering is required.

Skills - Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and engineering design skills. Exhibit good housekeeping skills in terms of electronic filing, calculations, recording design changes, updating excel spreadsheets and documenting designs. Must be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a team, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some working knowledge of job costing system such as BPCS and Made 2 Manage or other similar ERP systems. Must also remain current with other relevant computing skills. Must be a team player- open-minded and flexible, with the ability to generate creative solutions to problems and work in a fast paced environment which requires multi-tasking capability.
