Job Description

Cape Fox subsidiary Concentric Methods, LLC is accepting resumes for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit to provide full time services to our deserving Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

One year experience in L&D is required.

Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Perform physical exams and health histories.

Perform monitoring of 500 to 950 triage patients per month, including continuous fetal monitoring, spontaneous rupture of membrane check, labor check, prolonged monitoring, rule out pre-term labor, decreased fetal movement, and Pregnancy Induced Hypertension.

Perform monitoring of 210 inpatients per month, including continuous fetal monitoring, vital signs and assessment every 15 to 60 minutes and labor checks/cervical exams.

Provide intravenous management to include but not limited to fluids, Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antibiotics and insulin.

Perform lab draws, venous, arterial and capillary (CBC, blood cultures, PKU, bilirubin dextrose).

Provide pain management (monitor patient status on continuous laboring epidurals, intravenous narcotics, and emotional support).

Assist the provider with inductions (cervical ripening, artificial rupture of membranes, Pitocin).

Perform vaginal delivery procedures (pushing, delivery, recovery).

Assist the provider with operative vaginal delivery procedures.

SCHEDULE:

Services shall be provided Monday through Sunday to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts shall normally be 0700 to 1930 or 1900 to 0730. The nurse shall normally work six 12.5 hours shifts to include an uncompensated 30-minute meal break and one 8.5-hour shift to include an uncompensated 30-minute meal break within a two-week period.

The rotating schedule is typically every six (6) weeks and can include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. During that six-week rotation, the nurse may be required to work six Saturday shifts, six Sunday shifts or three combined weekend shifts, if needed. The HCW can be on permanent night shift if they desire to do so.
