As part of a team of manufacturing employees, the QS21 Manufacturing Associate supports the start-up, definition of procedures, manufacturing of consistency batches, and sustained production of QS-21.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

• Performs and monitors manufacturing processes using a highly automated approach based upon Emerson's Delta V platform
• Troubleshoots process deviations resulting from automation communication issues
• Ensures all job responsibilities adhere with applicable regulations, current operating procedures and industry practices
• Identifies and mitigates EHS and safety risks
• Works with technical production equipment (e.g. HPLC and Lyophilizer)
• Leads/supports validation related to equipment, cleaning, and manufacturing processes
• Performs manual operations including set-up/breakdown of filtration skids, filling/loading of lyophilization trays, loading equipment for cleaning, and routine sampling
• Supports cross-functional communication and the GSK quality mindset by proactively identifying and reporting compliance issues to area supervisor and QA
• Actively participates in a high performing team; able to demonstrate initiative
• Adheres to GSK policies, procedures and supports site goals
• Participates in and supports continuous improvement and performance management initiatives
• Recognizes technical issues and relays to supervisor
• Performs duties as assigned with respect to quality, timeliness, quantity and cost

• High School Diploma with 4+ years of GMP experience

• Experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory environment
• Knowledge of a controlled, clean environment
• Good written and verbal skills
• Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment in a manufacturing facility
