BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for initiating the writing and coordinating of the activities associated with the Request for Proposal (RFPs) process ensuring the highest quality of service is provided while remaining consistent with the Companys policies, procedures and philosophies. Participate in the activities involved in the resolution of issues associated with the RFP process ensuring follow-through to resolution. Coordinate projects with support from a Proposal Writer or Senior Proposal Writer and with strict adherence to detailed customer specifications. Draft proposal ready response materials to utilize as a reference tool to complete future proposals or internal requests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field OR 4 years of product development or marketing experience.

*Two years experience in a business setting working in a proposal development unit, marketing, communications or publishing.

*PC skills and experience in Microsoft products.

*Verbal and written communication skills to complete Response for Proposals, coordinate activities with many departments, and incorporate layman terms in the proposal.

*Organizational skills and project management skills

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Experience and skills with proposal automation software such as Qvidian

*Proposal writing experience in the commercial field.
