| Job Summary: | |||
| This position is primarily assisting in land surveying duties. Perform a variety of technical duties in the areas of surveying, construction, operations, and maintenance in support of surveyors, project engineers, supervisors and GIS. | |||
| Minimum Qualifications: | |||
| Survey Technician I Associates degree with a strong technical emphasis (survey/civil/geomatics preferred), or four years equivalent technical survey/mapping experience. Survey Technician II: Associates degree with a strong technical emphasis (survey/civil/geomatics preferred), or four years equivalent technical survey/mapping experience. Must have three years equivalent technical experience and demonstrate ability, skills and knowledge to recognize matters needing attention and take initiative to act on that recognition and must be able to work with minimum supervision. Survey Technician III: Bachelors degree in an appropriate technical curriculum and two years experience as a land survey technician II or a minimum of four years equivalent technical experience as a land survey technician II. | |||
| Additional Requirements | |||
| *AutoCAD, Public Land Survey System (PLSS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) education or experience. *Frequent travel with overnight stays away from Glendive. *Must have a valid driver's license. | |||

| *Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment | |||
| Preferred Qualifications | |||
| *Pipeline/route surveying experience. Survey Technician III: A Land Survey Intern (LSI) certification in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wyoming. | |||
