Hours: This position will work a Day/Evening/Weekend rotation including Holidays and includes some On-Call.
The pharmacy is open Weekdays 7:00am to 9:00pm and Weekends/Holidays 9:00am-5:30pm.

As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Clinical Staff Pharmacist you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

About the Facility: The Montana State Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. The facility includes 174 licensed hospital beds; 15 adult group home beds; and a 20 bed residential care unit (209 total). The Hospital Pharmacy provides centralized support to all Montana State Hospital facilities. The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
  • Current MT pharmacy license in good standing
  • Current or recent paid experience as a Pharmacist in an inpatient setting
  • Strong clinical, communication and organizational skills needed
