SUMMARY
Solicit, develop, and service commercial customer relationships with a variety of loan, deposit, and financial products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
Interviews applicant and requests specified information for loan application.
Analyzes credit worthiness of applicants by reviewing loan application, preparing financial statements, cash flow, and collateral analysis.
Establishes and negotiates terms and conditions with borrower.
Approves and rejects loans within prescribed lending approval authority.
Prepares and presents loan requests to upper management or loan committee.
Monitors loan repayment and take appropriate collections action.
Completes quarterly problem loan reports.
Maintains and services existing accounts consistent with department objectives of profitability and credit quality.
Ensures compliance with applicable banking regulations and keeps up-to-date with changes in bank policy along with federal regulations and requirements.
Actively participates in new business contact programs.
Originates and follows through on new business contacts.
Cross-sells other bank products and services including deposits, Cash Management/Payment Services and Wealth Management.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer other types of loans.
Actively involved in the community representing First Interstate Bank.
Assist in directing loan committee.
Provide financial advice to customers and perform other customer service related activities.
Provide coverage for opening and closing of Bank
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and three to seven-plus years Commercial Lending experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate and analyze figures, and perform spreadsheet analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
